Cooking Thyme Series – Canning

August 3, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Upcoming Cooking Thyme Series

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office in Washington County will be hosting a Cooking Thyme Series on Tuesdays in August from 6-8pm at St. John’s UCC in Burton.

Washington County Extension Agent, Hannah Krebs, and educators will demonstrate and prepare menu ideas featuring canning, freezing, reducing sodium, and healthy substitutions.

In addition to cooking demonstrations, attendees will participate in hands-on cooking activities they can implement in their kitchens at home. Attendees will also be able to enjoy what they made, take home recipes, and other items.

Hannah Krebs, an agent with the Washington County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, says the Cooking Thyme Series was developed to provide busy families with quick, healthy, cost effective recipes that taste great.

The series cost is $50 or $15 per session. You can register by calling the Washington County Extension Office at (979) 277-6212 or emailing hannah.krebs@ag.tamu.edu or nburch@ag.tamu.edu. Register by July 29, 2021. The series is limited to the first 15 participants.
