Sign up to help work the HLSR Concession Stand

The HLSR Progress Show will take place at the Washington County Expo Saturday November 5 – Sunday November 6. We have the opportunity to have the 4-H Concession Stand open to help feed all the exhibitors and staff. We need your help to staff the concession stand.  Please take a moment to follow the link and sign up to work. Each slot is meant for a family name. Make sure that a parent is present to work. No youth should be in concession stand without a guardian.

 

Note – 4-H members will receive a meeting credit to be used during the year if needed.

2022 4-H Christmas Card Contest due October 28, 2022

The Texas 4-H Foundation is hosting a Christmas Card Contest for a chance at being this year’s OFFICAL Texas 4-H Foundation Christmas Card! We are nearing the deadline for submissions to be entered. Artwork submissions will be accepted through October 28th! For rules and registration forms click here.

 

Major Show Entry Night on November 1, 2022

All Exhibitors must have a current Quality Counts Number to participate in Major Shows.  Please call the Washington County Extension Office if you have any questions about your quality counts number.  Visit https://www.texaslivestockvalidation.com/qc/qcregister.aspx to enroll, work through the curriculum, and take the Quality Counts test.  Quality Counts Enrollment Instructions & FAQs are attached.

Texas 4-H Jerky Jackpot Fundraiser

The Texas 4-H Foundation has once again partnered with rodeo legend and Texas rancher Bob Tallman to create an exclusive fundraiser to put money right in your county’s pocket.

For every bag a member sells, they will be eligible to win some great prizes:

  • 10 Bags – Texas 4-H Keychain
  • 25 Bags – Jerky Jackpot Water bottle
  • 50 Bags – $100 Amazon Gift Card
  • 75 Bags – Apple AirPods
  • 100 Bags – Apple iPad

 

To earn these cool prizes, the people who buy jerky just need to list the members name and county on their order at checkout. Prizes will be mailed to each county office for the winners to pickup.
