Matagorda County AgriLife Extension service will be hosting a Beef & Forage
Seminar on January 29, 2021. There will be a Zoom link invitation sent out to
participant’s that are signed up. The link will open up at 8:00AM and the first

We will have many guest speakers at this event such as Corrie Bowan –
Wharton County CEA -Agriculture, he will be discussing Herbicide Groups and
Herbicide Mode of Action . Dr. Megan Clayton – Extension Range Specialist,
will be covering spot chemical application using drones. Dr. Mark Matocha –
Extension Specialist Ag & Environmental Safety, will talk about pesticide
updates and sprayer calibration. Dr. John Tomecek – Extension Wildlife
Specialist, will discuss predator and pest management for livestock producers.
Dr. Morgan Treadwell-Extension Range Specialist, will talk about prescribed
fire management tool on agriculture land.
